Country Chicken


  • 1/2 kg Chicken
  • 4 medium Onions
  • 2 1/2 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • Salt to taste


Heat oil in a pan, fry the ginger garlic paste till golden.

Add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown, add the tomatoes and cook till pulpy.

Once the toamtoes are cooked add all the powder masalas and fry for a minute or two.

Add water and allow to boil, once the water starts boiling add the washed and cleaned

chicken and cook on a medium flame till the chicken is cooked.

Add more water if necessary.

Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes, garnish with coriander leaves.

Tips: serve hot with bread or rice.
